Behind Ondine…

Named after the mythical water spirit and derived from the Latin word for “wave,” Ondine embodies the essence of fluid movement. Inspired by the strength and adaptability of water, this practice invites you to move with flow.

I’m Makayla, a West Michigan based instructor. Growing up near the lakes, I’ve always felt drawn to the water. Its rhythm and flow mirror the nervous system in many ways. Calming, energizing, and restoring all at once. That connection became the foundation of my approach to teaching movement.

I live in Grand Haven, where summers are spent soaking in long beach days and the rhythm of lakeshore life. That balance of movement and stillness shapes the way I teach.

I teach both group and private sessions at Body Haus Lifestyle Club, and have been offering private sessions and curated events for several years. I am an avid Yogi, hoping to soon incorporate this into my knowledge. This space was created to bring those offerings together, making it easy to book events, schedule private sessions, or learn more about my practice.

My training began with barre, my first love, and still influences many of my event-based flows. Certified in 2024 and rooted in the Balanced Body method, I blend classical and contemporary Pilates to build strength, deepen mind-body connection, and leave you feeling stronger than when you arrived.
